Message | We believe that the army ought to be able to make strategic decision. We leave defense policy in the hands of the experts, whom we trust with our safety and trust to use these weapons appropriately and safely. |

Message | The use of land mines is unacceptable. They put civilians at risk in the countries in which are armies fight, and that can never be tolerated. It is the government's responsibility to remove the option from the army, and the NRP are not facing up to that responsibility. |

Message | The government's primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of the nation. Any government that refuses to do so is no government at all. To defend the nation, we all place our trust in the armed forces. If we trust them with our lives, why shouldn't we trust them to use these weapons reasonably? No matter what weapons are used, civilians are always at risk during war. That is incredibly sad, but inevitable. The NRP looks at the world as it is, without being blinded by idealism. We put the safety of our citizens first. We do not constrain the options open to our men and women in uniform as they risk their lives defending ours. |

Message | Unlike the NRP, the TRP recognises the moral aspect of war. The 'kill at all costs' mentality of the NRP means that the army are permitted to use weapons that indiscriminately kill those who threaten our society and the many innocent adults and children that don't. The TRP would protect the safety of Telamonian citizens, but in a way which did not involve murdering innocent citizens of other countries. |
