MessageThis system is an improvement on the current flat rate. However, it is still regressive. The TRP support taking the lowest earners out of income tax altogether and requiring the wealthy to pay their fair share.

MessageThe "fairest" tax is the flat tax - one flat rate for all citizens, with the rich still paying more as a greater sum is taken out of their income. However, the government would like to raise some extra revenue this year to compensate to possible cuts in the consumption taxes being considered by the Finance Ministry. Once the economy adjusts, a return to the flat tax will be considered by the government.
