Bill: Greg Ruth Education Reform Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Free Democratic Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 3845
Description[?]:
The Anarchist Part of Solentia is proposing a comprehensive and intelligent bill to exterminate the Solentian Public School system. It shall be replaced by a privatized or unionized system of schooling that will be controlled by the invisible hand of the free market and the will of the people. This bill includes a small budget cut to make sure we aren't paying for a schooling system we do not have. Here are the parts: 1.0 All Solentian Public Education facilities will be given to the teachers employed at the school. Teachers will form unions that will control the schools, or they will sell the schools to third parties and split the profit as they see fit. 2.0 All funding for schooling will be removed. 2.1 The education funding removed is represented by a new education budget of zero. 2.2 The lack of school busses is represented by the smaller transportation budget. 2.3 The school health programs will be eliminated, and that is represented by the smaller health services budget. 2.4 The lack of school lunches will be represented by the smaller food budget. 3.0 Any other necessary decisions in the matter will be proposed by the Minister of Education at a later date. 3.1 The smaller budget will be compensated by a smaller income tax. This bill has been proposed by newly appointed Minister of Education Greg Ruth. |
