| Message | Mr. Speaker, Bestiality must remain illegal because any other policy would violate the rights of animals. Animals do not have a mental capacity equivalent to humans so they will be regularly taken advantage of without any sort of ability to consent or not consent to sex. This means that many times a person engages in sexual activity with an animal, the animal becomes the victim of sexual assault even if they aren't physically harmed from the experience. Not to mention the health hazard that this could turn into with the likely introduction of new STIs into society. I yield. |
