Bill: Nuclear Power Amendment Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberal Progressive Alliance

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 3849

Description[?]:

Mr. Speaker,

Nuclear power is a highly dangerous and toxic way of creating energy. We should be focused on generating power through non-exhaustible resources, creating renewable energy. This will benefit our environment greatly and result in a healthier and safer Lodamun for all.

Withdrawing from the Terran Nuclear and Renewable Energy Agency will allow us to adopt an anti-nuclear stance for our nation.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Technologies that promote sustainable energy include renewable energy sources, such as hydroelectricity, solar energy, wind energy, wave power, geothermal energy, bioenergy, tidal power and also technologies designed to improve energy efficiency. Costs have fallen dramatically in recent years, and continue to fall. Most of these technologies are either economically competitive or close to being so.

It is crucial that this bill passes. It is our responsibility to ensure that our people live in a clean, safe and healthy environment.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Mr. Fertig is clearly missing the point of the bill. This bill will allow us to continue use renewable sources of energy production, but without the dangerous and toxic nuclear power plants.

MessageMr Speaker,

The Shadow Alliance will support any and all measures that allow Ludanum to take an independent stance on our energy policy.

While we do not share the Eastern Central Alliance's view on Nuclear Weapons, we nonetheless believe withdrawing from the treaty is a worthwhile position.

The Shadow Alliance will support this bill.
