| The Capitalist Working Families propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the Commonwealth of Rutania. We propose the following: (1) An EQUAL tax of 10% for all economic classes. Even in our Holy Book, Malachi 3:10, God ONLY asks for 10%. Should Government asks for MORE??? (2) To Raise the Luxury Tax to 50% and the General Sales Tax To 30%. What is the problem with our current economy??? (a) Gross Domestic Product[?] CONSUMPTION 204,332,313,433 RUT ***75.47%*** Government 26,698,300,000 RUT 9.86% ***INVESTMENT 39,701,354,587 RUT 14.66%*** Net Exports 0 RUT 0.00% GDP 270,731,968,020 RUT 100.00% SOURCE: cf. http://classic.particracy.net/budget.php?nationid=6 (b) Notice that consumption in the economy is an UNBELIEVEABLE ~76% while PRODUCTION (which creates jobs for Rutanians) is a measly 15%. (c ) Thus, we feel that if we dramatically increase the consumption taxes and aggressively lower the income taxes on production, we can bolster the INVESTMENT component of GDP from the Consumption component of GDP. (d) Their are NO JOBS in Rutania and our people are suffering. We as their elected representatives must make a bold decision to increase investment and productivity. OOC: Let's just experiment with the economic plan, guys/gals, to SEE how it will impact the economic situation of the nation. ;-) |

| Message | Mr. Speaker, I urge all parties not to accept this bill. It's basic economics that if we increase our luxury taxes to 50% and our Essentail Goods taxes to 30% there will be widespread poverty. Our consumption levels will also go down but if the CWF has not realized at the top of the budget page it says DONT CONSIDER THE BUDGET WORKING YET! Are they just ignoring this? This will do nothing, but put our country into poverty. |

| Message | Mr. Speaker, A 5% tax cut for those earning under 4,000 RUT per year, sounds good on the face of it. However, any savings made will be wiped out when they are faced with a 40% increase in luxury sales tax, and a 28% increase in sales tax on essentials. If your food bill is going to cost 28% more than it did only a few weeks ago - a 5% tax cut isn't going to fund it. A decrease in government funds of over 10 billion is not what we need. |

| Message | Mr. Speaker, When our party had a sizable majority in Rutania, we enacted deep spending cuts to the budget as well as reduced marginal tax rates. It WORKED. The Government portion of GDP decreased while the INVESTMENT component increased substantially. Therefore, our 2nd experiment is to RE-direct the Consumption component of GDP to the INVESTMENT component of GDP. In other words, we want the people of Rutania to stop buying crap at Wal-Mart on their Visa Credit card and start using their hard-earned money to buy STOCKS, STOCKS, STOCKS from the Terran Stock Market which would bolster investment spending thus create millions of high paying jobs. | Message | OOC: It may work, but if we are RPing everything we have to think of the impact on the people, the the Conservatives said, a 28% increase on the food bills is not what we need. In order to increase consumption and our GDP is a lower business tax coupled with lower sales taxes, I'm sorry but where do you get the idea that tax increases will cause GDP growth? |

| Message | OOC: RDP, if we raise the consumption tax, people will spend LESS in the economy; thus, if we UN-tax income and productivity, investment spending will increase. My goal is to reduce the Consumption component of GDP and RE-direct it the INVESTMENT component of GDP. So, does that mean that you will change your vote?
