| Message | Mr. Speaker & The SCP: How is this bill socialist? PLEASE explain. Socialism is defined as GOVERNMENT ownership of the means of production. This bill keeps production in PRIVATE hands and ownership. It just says that if worker cooperatives wish to start their own business, the government will assist them with loans and tax credits. In Rutania, Florida's Natural Orange Juice, United Airlines, and the King Arthur Flour Company are all privately owned but are owned by worker owned cooperatives. This bill does NOT strip away private property rights of the rich. The CWFP yields the balance of our time. |
