Bill: Rights of Self Determination Act of 3849

Details

Submitted by[?]: Solentian National Party (SNP)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 3850

Description[?]:

We in the Green Party feel quite strongly that nationals should not have to register their race nor their religion. In the past governments that have required people to do so have used that registry to systematically persecute and in some cases exterminate those they deemed "undesirable." Our citizens should be free from worrying about such a thing ever happening. Secondly, in the case of arranged marriages, our citizens should be free to marry whomever they choose to. Whomever it is that they love. They should not be obligated, by law, to marry according to the wishes of their parents.

Dr. Jill Styne - Head of the Solentian Government.
