Bill: Energy Fairness Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Court of Shades

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 3858

Renewable Energy can be unreliable and more costly to produce.

If the consumers of Lodamun wish to pay a premium to use "environmental friendly" energy then they are free to do so. Rather than the status quo of taxing all consumers for the choice of a few.

MessageMr. Speaker,

we are firm believers in renewable energy. We should research this and use it any way we can.
We prefer the law as it is now.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The logic behind this bill is flawed. When persons are paying for energy, they aren't thinking much of the source. As the persons who are responsible for governing this country and looking out for the people's needs, we should ensure that those sources are doing as little harm to the environment as possible. At the end of the day, the only thing the people worry about is getting their electricity. At the end of the decade, we don't want them to have to worry about breathing.
