Bill: Budget proposal of May 3857

Details

Submitted by[?]: The Liberal Socialists

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 3858

Description[?]:

The Universe Party propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Democratic Republic of Solentia.

We at the Universe Party wishes a relative small change in the budget, allocating more funds to science and technology, and invest in our enviournment.

We find the money by cutting in the very large defence budget, which is not needed, and cutting a tiny bit of money from the Justice department.

Message"The CPS asks that in future the Universe Party consider allowing their proposal to sit in debate for some time so that amendments might be discussed. As this proposal exists, the CPS cannot support. Despite important efforts to restore some funding to education, it is too little, and it too heavily relies upon cuts to vital areas like transportation and (the already dramatically underfunded) justice system."
