MessageOOC: I oppose this change. Athlorcaea was the name of Hutori a long time ago, but since at least the 2800s (when I was first here), Hutori has been Hutori.

MessageOOC: It is just a suggestion. And of course we could come up with something new or even keep it the same.

MessageOOC: I agree with the NLP, it was Athlorcaea long before I started and it seems kind of unlikely unless we got a reactionary sort of party in power, and they wanted to return to a "Golden Age" by changing the name.

Keeping it the same doesn't change anything, and there hasn't been much political change. In fact, due to OOC agreements and similar platforms, there was a decades long "Era of Good Feelings" in Hutori after the Religious wars/uprisings. In retrospect, a name change might have come in handy then.

Either way, I think if the name is changed, there should be a solid IC reason, which I have yet to think about outside of those two examples.

MessageI'm not sure if there is any strong reason to beyond pointing to the "good old days". If anything, the move may make our nation seem more backwards.
