Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The lyrics of the national anthem.
Old value:: United forever in friendship and labour, Our mighty shires will ever endure. The Land of Beluzia will live through the ages. The dream of a people their fortress secure. Long live Beluzia, our great motherland, Built by the people's mighty hand. Long live our people, united and free, Let the Sun bow to our flag, for all to see. We fought for our land, we scared the invaders, And refused to bring home any form of shame. Our glory will live in the memory of nations And all of Terra will honour her name. Long live Beluzia, our great motherland, Built by the people's mighty hand. Long live our people, united and free, Let the Sun bow to our flag, for all to see.
Current:
Land of the Free by the people, We pledge to thy liberty! No tyrants here linger, despots must flee. This tranquil haven of democracy, the blood of our sires which hallows the sod, brought freedom from slavery and oppressionists. By the might of truth, no longer shall we be hewers of wood. Arise! Sons, daughters of the united and democratic ancestors, put on your armor, clear the land! Drive back the tyrants, let despots flee -Land of the Free by the people! Nature has blessed us with wealth untold. Our mountains and valleys where prairies roll; our fathers, mothers, valiant and bold drove back the invader- those of tyranny. |
Proposed:
Arise ye workers from your slumbers Arise ye prisoners of want For reason in revolt now thunders And at last ends the age of cant. Away with all your superstitions Servile masses arise, arise We’ll change henceforth the old tradition And spurn the dust to win the prize. Refrain: So comrades, come rally And the last fight let us face The Internationale unites the human race. No more deluded by reaction On tyrants only we’ll make war The soldiers too will take strike action They’ll break ranks and fight no more And if those cannibals keep trying To sacrifice us to their pride They soon shall hear the bullets flying We’ll shoot the generals on our own side. No saviour from on high delivers No faith have we in prince or peer Our own right hand the chains must shiver Chains of hatred, greed and fear E’er the thieves will out with their booty And give to all a happier lot. Each at the forge must do their duty And we’ll strike while the iron is hot. |

Message | No, this is far to sudden a change, and far from our party's policy of cooperation with the right and center. |

Message | I don't think we are ready for complete Socialism yet. We are well on our way though. If anything these changes should be gradual instead of all at once. We will support the individual stipulations, but to change it all now? Too soon for us. |
