Bill: Death Penalty Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Liberale Zukunfts Partei
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 3859
Description[?]:
Mr. Speaker, The LFP move this bill to the floor for discussion. Obviously I have some vested interest in this legislation given the SNP's recent calls for my own execution! It is a core value of our party that death is not a viable punishment for any crime. There is no evidence to suggest that it acts as a deterent. We move this bill and trust that there will be sensible debate on the matter, or in the case of the SNP we can all take a loo break whilst they rant about immigrants and the need to hang them all. Mr. Donald Grantham, LFP Constitutional Affairs |

Message | Herr Grantham, It is natural that a Liberal would wish to see terrorist and traitors live, but we do not. If a man, walks into a crowed bar and blows himself and kills your significant other and your children...you explain how that feels. Othmar Bödeker, Social Nationalist Party Representative |

Message | Herr Bodeker, How I feel and how the law responds are two very seperate matters. I think you have just shown quite nicely how emotions and the states judicial system must be kept seperate. Donald Grantham |

Message | Herr Grantham, Indeed, they should be kept separate and they are. What I am stating is the possibility and the realistic feelings that Dorvish citizens get and feel. Othmar Bödeker, Social Nationalist Party Representative |

Message | I support this Bill my personal open ion on who the person is and what was done should not get in the way of what is right, no one should be waisting away in a cell, there should always be an opportunity for the individual to try to correct themselves from their mistake Andery Huntezel, Peoples Socialist Party member |

We're not a country like the Kingdom of Hobrazia where people are executed for every crime they commit. We live in a free society where people shouldn't be afraid of their own government. We fight for the humanisation of our judicial system and not for barbaric practises like the death penalty. Herr Arthur Urquhart, Leader of the PZvD |
