Description[?]:
An Act to reform and regulate sectors of environmental and ecological policy of the government, namely those of animal rights/protection, land and resource use, and pollution. This bill aims to fix critical gaps in current government regulation, which does not adequately address key issues in the aforementioned areas of environmental and ecological policy. If enacted, this bill would protect and preserve the environment by setting standards for hunting, forestry, pollution, and water quality regulation. It is also suggested that the National Budget include an increase to the Food and Agriculture (8 billion lira), Enviroment and Tourism (20 billion lira), and Trade and Industry (5 billion lira) ministries to effect these policies: |

Message | Madam Speaker, Articles 2-4 and 6-7 are perfectly rational and reasonable policies that should be in place. We simply believe that this isn't the proper branch of government to be enacting such change. It is the firm belief of the ARU that environmental protections and direct land management should be delegated to the individual states; not only are they far more connected to the land that is being protected, but they can shift their policies to more efficiently fit their own settings. Article 5 is a massive infringement on the free market, but would be more reasonable if it was more localized. Cities and certain polluted states should have the right to enact such an emergency action, but doing this on such a wide scale blatantly disregards the interests of the countless people who don't require such a market interference.
