Bill: Monopoly law
Details
Submitted by[?]: Dorvische Allianz für Freiheit
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 3866
Description[?]:
Herr Speaker, monopolies just exist in certain parts of our economy, that's a fact. The current laws state that we should break these companies apart. This is ridiculous, because certain markets are small enough to allow monopolies. Take the market for playing cards for example. Will it hurt anyone if there's one company that supplies all of the playing cards that are being sold? Nope. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Policy on monopolies (this general law is superceded by other laws relating to specific parts of the economy).
Old value:: Monopolies are forbidden, and are actively broken up.
Current: There is no policy on monopolies, they are unregulated.
Proposed: Monopolies are only forbidden in specific sectors of the economy.

Random fact: It is not allowed to call more than 5 elections in 5 game years in a nation. The default sanction for a player persisting in the early election tactic will be a seat reset. |
