Message | Mr. Speaker, This does not specify a title for the head of state. It will just allow anyone to run for the position of head of state, assuming this person can be a despot without any titular indication of his/her role in the country. Direct elections in a country with as many as 8 parties can be dangerous and undemocratic. It is silly to allow this in the first place, and even more silly to give this official the exclusive right to nominate Presidents and other cabinet members. -- Trevor Fertig, Chairman of the GNRG, Vice President of GDR Lodamun |

Message | To add to my earlier statement, Mr. Speaker, This bill does not really reform the Presidency. It only strips all MPs of their ability to nominate Presidents, and the Presidium is forced to only consider nominations that are made by a head of state who does not have a title. I believe that the current parliamentary system gives proportional power to all parties, in that each party's power is based on its support and number of seats. In a system with direct elections for a single official, power and responsibility are concentrated in the hands of a single person. -- Trevor Fertig, Chairman of the GNRG, Vice President of GDR Lodamun |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The head of state has no title here. Making this ammendment pointless. Amy Lane Leader of the P.F within the Presidium |

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map. |
