Bill: Expanding the Health Care Market
Details
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 3871
Description[?]:
We propose that the government of Aldegarian Shahdom allow for the creation of private clinics in the Health Care Industry along with the National Health Care Service already put in place. We would allow for the power of the free market through these private clinics while still helping those who cannot afford it. This would give the people options besides just the National Health Care Service while not removing the Nationalized side of the industry. We would also be allowing entrepreneurs eager to start a business in this industry a chance to do so. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Health care policy.
Old value:: Health care is entirely public and free; private clinics are banned.
Current: There is a public health care system, but private clinics are allowed.
Proposed: There is a free public health care system and a small number of private clinics, which are heavily regulated to ensure they treat their patients well and provide good care.

Message | Yes we also agree that opening the market is a good idea, but new clinics should be at least of equal standard to our national health service . Thus people who have the means can seek healthcare elsewhere. However we must also not be complaisant in efforts to maintain and constantly improve the services offered by our NHS. There is always room for improvement. The SRP |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
