Bill: DISCUSSION: The National Motto
Details
Submitted by[?]: Liberal Progressive Alliance
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 3875
Description[?]:
M. Speaker, The current national motto is threatening to both the international community and our own citizens. I believe we should change the motto to a more optimistic one that brings people together, not dividing them out of fear and intimidation. This can be used as a forum to discuss possible alternatives. My personal suggestions are; - Live for Lodamun! - For Freedom! - Lodamun for All Please feel free to provide your own suggestions if these do not resonate with you. I hope we can come to a consensus, as this is a change that must be made. Donna Mendoza Prime Minister |

Message | OOC: I don't really love ECA suggestions because they're generic like many particracy mottos. After playing around in google translate to come up with something that sounds somewhat ok, I came up with: Semper flores florent (translated: Always flowers in bloom) I think Latin makes it sound like a real motto. Since the flag is a flower, it makes sense and reinforces that national symbol. It advances the idea that Lodamun is a vibrant nation that continuously thrives. Thoughts? |
