Description[?]:
Read by Remnjom Nishti Usire Ashsiou My Honorable Assembly, As you know, we have focused extensively on restoring our cultural heritage during our reign. Our next goal is to establish Irkawan as a language to be used throughout Cobura alongside the current lingua franca of Augustan. We decree that public elementary schools in all nomes teach their students using a language immersion program. In these programs, students shall be taught half of their subjects entirely in the second language. In all nomes but Irkawa, the second language will be Irkawan. In Irkawa, the second language will be Augustan. The Vizier of Education has declared that students shall initially begin the program at age 11. Alterations may to the starting age be made based on the results of future studies. Once the students reach secondary education and have demonstrated proficiency in Irkawan or Augustan, in addition to their native language, they may begin learning a third language. We do encourage students in Dilganato, Domale, and Tokundi who are not already familiar with Augustan to learn the language due to its widespread use in Cobura and Zardugal. We decree that private and charter schools may bypass or alter these regulations upon approval of the Ministry of Education. In addition, we decree that all nursery schools be regulated by the Ministry of Education. By the order of: Sakho Nebthontiou Iskinder Saksoure (The Exalted Lord of the Five Lands Iskinder Saksoure) |
