MessageWe support this bill on the grounds that this will make Parliament less complicated with no ties in votes etc.

MessageUh, no. There's already no instance as of yet with tie votes. It will simply make things harder to calculate and more confusing.

MessageOh look. All I need to do is persuade HCP and it fails. Too bad they have 99% voting record with the ICP.

MessageOh, and *please* read Alorian history and it's wiki sometime, mk? The governing body is the parliament, the cabinet (committe of regions, chaired by head of gov't), and the governing council. The governing council is the executive branch of 5 appointed by the head of state. The parliament is not the governing council. Not only is this bill a trivial adjustment as a tie is unlikely in a parliament with more than 200 seats, it is also ignorant of Alorian culture.

MessageThen we shall simply pass it after you lose even more seats at the next election.

MessageThat is an ignorant and uneducated guesstimate. The parties that are federalist and capitalist will do better based on the positions and importance of issues in this nation.

MessageAlso, note how those who are capitalist/devolution are the largest parties and those with federalist tendencies among the socialists are the third and fourth largest parties respectively. My comments are based on fact, yours are based on ignorance.

MessageWell, here's a compromise: if you can pass my Confederate Aloria More Act (74 seats more required), then I'd vote for this one. Thoughts?

MessageOh look. 213 seats against. This bill just failed. You don't compromise with us, we don't compromise with you. That means that if we ever get half between us your bills will be reversed in one bill. Also, odds are that you will *never* get 2/3 between you while everyone remains with similar views. :P

MessageOh look. There's a 269:268. That proves my point. it's a near impossibility to get a draw in Aloria. To inconvieince everyone on an astronomical chance would be like to waste hundreds of trillians on a giant laser just in case an asteroid were to be near enough to Terra to be considered a possible hit. It wouldn't be that much money, but it would still be a waste of manpower and money (changing the laws, actually getting someone to make a 601st seat to be exactly the same as the other 600, etc.). Is it really worth it?

MessageIt depends a lot on election results and what bills come up... It is possible...

MessageIndeed. But highly improbable. It is also possible that Terra will get hit by an asteroid. Thus the analogy.
