MessageWe would rather see a model in which the power grid is kept public but devolved to local governments, while the private sector produces the electricity itself. So, in essence, yes to article 1, but amend article 2.

MessageWe will support this bill despite some reservations about regulation of prices which can only serve to distort the energy market. We strongly support the privatisation of the national grid.

MessageMr Speaker,

Energy is an essential service. It is a basic need. It is not merely the plaything of the moneyed interests that would like to squeeze as much money out of hard-working Kazulian families as they possibly can. We stand against the motion before the house.

Minister of Environment and Tourism

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining.
