Bill: E-democracy Introducement

Details

Submitted by[?]: Hosianische Demokraten

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 3889

Description[?]:

This reform should introduce the future of voting. Voting via. Telecommunication devices (Mainly through the Internet) and this on regional and national levels. It would be especially useful for referendums. Old people could of course still vote old-style but the majority would vote through the internet. This would decrease the high apathy in this country as well (probably).

And this reform is still open to ideas to change it.

MessageHerr Speaker,

We would support e-democracy in the sense that people can gather support through online petitions and after a certain amount of signatures, we have to answer them and give some form of response. Voting via telecommunication (internet and other forms) is incredibly dangerous and can leave us open to attacks by foreign governments wishing to influence elections.

Voldemar von Farber,
State Council President.

And we think that some elections could be carried out trough telecommunication (internet and other forms).

Random fact: Moderation will not approve a Cultural Protocol request within the first 48 hours of it being requested. This is in order to give other players a chance to query the proposed changes, if they wish to do so. Moderation may be approached for advice on a proposed change, but any advice proffered should always be understood under the provisio that no final decision will be made until at least 48 hours after the request has been formally submitted for approval.
