We are wholeheartedly against this bill and will fight this with everything we have. As for concerns on pension costs, we believe that pensions should be left to the private sector, thus saving the government money.

MessageMr. Speaker

Fundamentally we support this bill, if only from a fiscal standpoint. However we agree that our Honourable colleagues from Choice have a point. As we havent seen the books on how much money we are spending on the current amount of social programs we have goinf we will be withholding our suppprt and vote until we have taken the HaSS Portfolio and have spoken with our colleagues in Finance.

MessageMr Speaker

Fiscally if we go with my party's suggestion, fiscally we would actually be better off! Plus this frees up more new jobs for young people as opposed to the AFPAR's proposal where older workers would be taking up jobs for longer, which they don't want. Thus if this bill is passed, in theory this will actually raise unemployment.
