Bill: Bill of the Aloria Coalition

Details

Submitted by[?]: Independent Capitalist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 2171

Description[?]:

Sorry, this is proof that the Aloria Coalition isn't collapsing. One party left so we're adjusting it accordingly. And no, the AC isn't monarchist. And no, the AC isn't for anything but a shared cabinet and head of state. We're not out for some fascist control of the parliament bills.

MessageOh, but I think that fascist control of cabinet and HoS is better than fascist control of cabinet, HoS, *and* parliament like your coalition wants. At least the AC is diverse (and doesn't steal each other's voter base).

MessageWe are opposed to this on the grounds that the entire system of coalitions is undemocratic.

We call on the AC and all other coalitions to dispand.

MessageRight. This is coming from a PAC supporter. Face it. There's the PAC, the JC, and the AC, and the AC is in power...

MessageIt's true. We don't believe in coalition control, and when we say this, you tell us that we must form our own coalition to combat this. For now, we will fight fire with fire and destroy the coalition system from within, freeing Aloria from the AC's grasp. Down with the AC! Long live freedom!

MessageI understand the AGSP point but it would be more principled to stay out of the coalition system altogether. We see the intentions but not how it could work.

MessageWithout coalitions that at least represent a fraction of the parties, it will be tyrany of the majority. For instance, if HCP and ICP ever got > 300 seats and there was no coalitions, it would be 2 parties in the cabinet! Is *that* representative!?

We will have to make it work. Alone, we cannot destroy the thing we despise. Alone we cannot give freedom back to Alorians. We are not pleased that it has come to this.

MessageIf there are no coalitions it will simply be down to as few parties as it can be to pass. It will be *less* democratic.
