Message | Mr. Speaker, I do not see how banning private TV and radio will do anything but diminish the diversity of Kazulian media, let alone "getting government out". Hans-Peder Juel, FP Leader |

Message | Mr Speaker, we are very much against banning for-profit media, because these are the only ones who do not rely on state support for their operations and are thus the only ones who can be expected to question government policies. Confronted with a critical and educated citizenry, they can only succeed by offering objective and high-quality journalism, as they will have to satisfy market demand. Outlawing them is an assault on free speech and will lead to a bland and dull media landscape where opinion is monopolized in the hands of a single type of corporation supported by the state. Message | Mr Speaker For-profit do not deliver any information, they are all on divertissement because people are not interessed in science, in my great deception, people are just interessed in fun, sport. The government may fund the media, but the journalists themselves run the media, not the government, and in fact, the best media to watch the government and question all policies are the public media, but they can much then just questioning the government policies, meanwhile the other media are just competitioning for a place in the sun. And no, this law show there will be many media and there will no limit to free speeches. Hoverer, maybe that guy prefer to see media where (journalist) have their opinion on event and instead of telling what happen, the tell their own political vision of the events, Which is not journalist, Any real journalist would policies like Skugga-Ljus Media : We don't want to hear any political opinion from you And yet, these journalists are very good. The only loser is the government, who will obligated to fund independant journalist by law. So the media won,t have to be scared of any fund cut by the government, since the government will be forced to pay Nathalie Danielsson, Depute for the Fria Kommunistiska Alliansen |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically |
