Bill: Lowering the Age of Compulsory Education Again
Details
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 3894
Description[?]:
Currently, the age of compulsory education is set to that of 18. Despite this being a massive improvement to the ridiculous age of 21, we still believe that the age of compulsory education should be lowered to 16. The age of adulthood in Hutori is 16 so it would be sensible to keep education in keeping with this. Lowering the age of compulsory education will also be far easier on the taxpayer as we will have less students to fund. Do note that higher education will still be readily available and even encouraged in Hutori, it's just this way it's not compulsory. Some people may have a career in mind which doesn't require such large amounts of time in learning, and we need to give the people more freedom. |
