Bill: Radicalism, 3895
Details
Submitted by[?]: Kirlawan People's Justice Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 3895
Description[?]:
A radical faction, likely having descended from the recently-disbanded Fascist party, grabbed a hold of KPJP's line to advance its own agenda. Mainstream KPJP does not endorse these (except for the "foreign investments" one), finding them too extreme. (OOC: I posted a bill and started to assemble this ... but multiple parties immediately jumped in with comments before I could even finish it!!! :( Just to spare them embarrassment, I created a new bill, and deleted that previous one. That's OOCly why this bill was created in April, unlike most of our bills which we create in January. ICly ... we can say that it's that rogue faction, I guess.) |

Message | People's Action Party, please look again at what you're voting for here: "All industry is owned and operated by the state". "The government requires all businesses to be run by Democratic Workers' Councils." "All radio stations are owned by the state." "All television stations are owned by the state." Those are some quite communist proposals, aren't they, for a party that claim to be opposed to communism?... |

Message | Now, I am sorry, we cannot support it. We support the economical reforms but we strongly oppose the social ones. |

Message | "equal in class"? -- In other words, a "classless society"? Also, in that previous bill, you had written -- and I quote -- > Date 16:26:33, August 21, 2015 CET > From People's Action Party > To Debating the . > Message Against, due to that the complete control of these institutions by > the state will stifle the economy and even destroy our infrastructure and the > means to distribute resources to the people of Kirlawa The exact same referred-to proposals which had been in that bill, are in this bill (albeit they've been joined by others here). Apparently PAP have totally changed their stance over the course of 25 hours.... |

Message | We do agree with some proposals, such as banning multiple citizenship, no foreigners residing permanently in Kirlawa, and the police patrolling all property at all times; that is why the PAP is voting for this bill. However, some things, such as the industry being completely controlled by the state, are not deemed favorable with the PAP. Thus, if this bill passes, we can always vote for laws that are more in line with the PAP or other parties. |
