Bill: Educational Reform

Details

Submitted by[?]: Progressive Socialist Party (PRO-SPA)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 3899

Description[?]:

OUR current legislation on education is not satisfying our kingdom as it should. AS IT gives too much power to regions, leaving our King completely powerless on this topic. WE PROPOSE the educational reform.

ARTICLE ONE; A national curriculum is needed, this way the schools in our kingdom will teach young Alorians exactly what we need for the development of our nation.
ARTICLES TWO, THREE, FOUR AND FIVE; Local governments have too much power, and that could end up hurting our nation. We need to unite our Regions so our great Kingdom grows as a hole leaving no one behind, not giving advantage to the richest regions.
FINALLY; ARTICLE SIX; It is very important that we teach the younger about sex, as it is part of their our nature. Growing up without sex-ed is proven to leave more unwanted teen pregnancy, and a faster spread of sexually transmitted diseases.

THEREFORE, we propose the educational reform, to make our kingdom greater.

Meleri Bloyd,
Leader of Parti ar gyfer Democratiaeth (PGD)

MessageMadam Speaker,

While these reforms are noble, my party cannot simply support them as our nation is too unique with regards to the Draddwyr, Dundorfian Alorian, and Selucian Alorian/Selucio-Draddwyr populations. Yes, the Draddwyr make up a majority of the population, but the Draddwyr traditions are not the same as the other traditions. Therefore, we must respect the traditions of all the Alorian peoples through federalism.

However, should demographics massively shift, then these proposals would be reconsidered by my party and more than likely be supported.

I yield.

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining.
