Bill: Polygamy Act 3898

Details

Submitted by[?]: Choice

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 3899

Description[?]:

Currently, local governments establish policies on polygamy. However we believe that polygamous marriages should be accorded equal recognition to monogamous marriages. We believe this because our government should not be prohibiting this sort of thing, some people end up loving more than one person and three way relationships or maybe even more have been known. We should allow these people to live happily without interference from the government. Polygamy harms no one and is in no way immoral. We believe that any consenting individuals should be allowed to wed.

There is a reason this was devolved to the Provincial Government. This is not a matter the Federal Government should be involving itself in.
