Bill: June 3898 Proposal for the Fourth National Party Cabinet - Amended in May 3899
Details
Submitted by[?]: Social-Liberal Caucus
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 3900
Description[?]:
Given there is only one month left and only the Iqembu Labalimi responded to our first proposal while saying it didn't necessarily wanted to have the finances, here is our new proposal, which will come to vote shortly. As for last time, we based the proposal on the interests of each faction and their respective weight in the Party. We hope our partners will like this distribution. If a faction which is excluded at the moment wishes to be added, we will gladly do so, but this will be done in another vote. One thing that could help would be to state one or many months you would be available to vote. |

Message | Dear Colleages, We were worried by the Sezenhlalo Caucus silence, as of late. We are glad you are back. We definetely don't prepare a coup, be it only because we are supposed to get the support of the majority of the Ikomidi on this proposal. Keeping governments during 15 years isn't a good practice and doesn't reflect adequately the changes in the population. We hoped to set in place a mechanism by which we could settle the repartition of the ministers. This system includes a pre-commitment to vote at the date indicated in the bill. We think this can prevent some problems we had in the past about government bills. We left one year (OOC : 2 days) to make comments to our original proposition. It is possible this wasn't enough (maybe 3 days would have been more appropriated, we can discuss about that*), but we had to get going, since we said we would. If anyone doesn't like this, he is free to make a concurrent proposal and to include his own faction in it. -- Bongani KaAyanda, Leader of the Party -- * OOC : Maybe we could wait until one full day in the next week-end has passed. That way, everyone would know which day he has to look forward to. Actually, would there be any interest in changint the term lenght in order to make it 6 months (1 day) shorter? This would ensure that the elections are always the same day of the week. |

Message | OOC: We don't need OOC notes with everything, and we don't need to have an OOC discussion about everything. My characters were not complaining about time, and I never had an issue with time. |

Message | OOC : Well, I was simply seeking to know if having a specific day in the week where elections could be held would improve the responses to my proposals. |
