Bill: Abolishing Corporatism Act of 3899

Details

Submitted by[?]: Borgerlig-Demokratiske Union

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 3900

Description[?]:

Mr Speaker,

DWC subsidies distort the marketplace by letting the government intervene to determine the winners and losers in the economy through favourable treatment of certain types of companies, which, by definition, amounts to corporatism, which is wasteful and economically unwise. It is our conviction that these subsidies and tax exemption amount to yet another gift to the trade unions, who are most likely to establish DWC-run businesses. This must be stopped, for we believe that the consumers should decide which business they believe delivers goods and services most efficiently and in the most responsible way.

Prof. Hans Granlund (FV)
Minister of Finance
