MessageMr Speaker,

We feel it unfair that Members of parliaments should be entitled to a comparatively large salary. We should decrease it to show the people that we're not doing it for the money but we're doing it to make their lives better. No MP needs an Large salary, in fact it would be logical for them to have an average salary. Also with these cuts, it will in turn discourage people that are becoming MP's just for the money and it'll in courage people to stand whom want to make change.

I yield

MessageBut surely this would ensure the absence of those academics and professionals who would take a pay cut to sit in the commons? Surely raising the wage but removing expenses is more sustainable?

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too.
