Section 1. It is a crime, punishable by death to aid, abet, support, or otherwise positively engage with terrorism or terrorists or other designated terrorist groups as defined by the National Committee on Public Security. Section 2. The National Committee on Public Security shall be a national advisory committee chaired by the President of the Republic, and consisting of the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Minister of Defense, the Minister of Justice and from time to time the heads of the security services which shall participate when required. Section 3. The Jakanian Security Forces are the government sponsored internal security paramilitary force which shall be under the direction of the Minister of Internal Affairs. The JSF shall have an authorized strength of 125,000 and divided up into 5 corps, one per Governorate and under the nominal operational authority of the local Governor and designated local security officials. Section 4. The Jakanian State Police are the official national police agency and responsible for the civilian enforcement of national law and augmenting local security and police forces when requested to do so by the appropriate officials.It shall have an authorized strength of 65,000 officers. Section 5. The Jakanian Border Force is the designated paramilitary force designated to protect the territorial integrity of the Republic. It shall have an authorized force of 20,000. Section 6. The Jakanian Internal Security Office is the main internal intelligence organization to provide intelligence and information support to the National Committee, and the appropriate internal security agents. Section 7. The Tribal Police Force is the designated paramilitary police designed to enforce peace and security in the rural areas of the country. It shall have an authorized strength of 35,000 broken up into 5,000 man brigades per province with a 10,000 man reserve force which shall be deployed on orders of the Minister of Internal Affairs when local units are not able to ensure the peace and security of their designated areas of operation. |
