MessageMr Speaker,

At the moment people aren't allowed to smoke outside, which makes no sense as that's the best place to smoke as the harmful chemicals aren't taken in as much as they would be indoors. Note, under current laws you can only smoke indoors, private homes and clubs, and its illegal to smoke anywhere else.

I yield

MessageMr. Speaker,

We believe that the currently law is appropriate with regards to public health and saftey, smoking outdoors would lead to second hand smoke inhalation from people who wish not to experience this affect.

MessageMr Speaker,

We see where you're coming from, but people are affected more so from the chemicals indoors then outdoors. However i would like to thank the Rt Hon Jarred Williams MP for answering the question.

MessageMr Speaker,

I am a liberal and always will be, but when my liberal values of the individual having more power over their own choices than the state conflict with public health, public health will always win. We will vote no to this proposal.
