MessageThe CP believes that the budget surplus is best employed with a moderate tax cut.

However if parties are against, we would like a national debate over the surplus. Under the AAS's and other parties astute financial control, we have built up a surplus that must be nearing 100billion LIK's (based upon a minimum of 5billion over the last 20 years, if someone could provide an accurate surplus, cheers), thus, the Conservative Party feels that the yearly surplus should be used in a tax cut, leaving the nest egg of 100billion for future emergencies.

MessageThe AAS is more than willing to support. This is, in effect, a continuation of AAS policy - as it fits in perfectly with our pattern of tax cuts.

The AAS quickly estimates a progression of about 2 billion LIK per annum, for about the last 30 years, building up to closer to 5 billion LIK over the last few years. Although we do not have the calculations to hand, the Conservative Party estimates do not seem unreasonable... although it might be closer to 60-70 billion LIK.

MessageThe sane faction of the JLP supports, much to the dismay of John and Vladimir.

MessageIf we have a 2billion tax cut, then surely most of that would be invested in the nation via increased savings/spending etc
