| Current law on nuclear weaponry in warfare and nuclear weaponry: The nation reserves the right to use nuclear weapons if victory is not feasibile by other means The nation reserves the right to develop, construct and store nuclear arms. Proposed change on nuclear weaponry in warfare and nuclear weaponry: The nation shall never use nuclear weapons in warfare. The nation shall never develop, purchase or store nuclear weaponry. Reason for change on nuclear weaponry in warfare and nuclear weaponry: Our party has concluded that the mere existence of nuclear arms in our country poses a serious risk to national security. We acknowledge that other nations may have nuclear arms and that in the unfortunate event of war, they may end up using it on other countries. However, developing and storing our own nuclear arms will simply paint a target on our back and make it more likely that a nation would use nuclear weapons on our soil due to the presence of warheads.
