Message | Err. no way while Terra spins around the sun will we ever accept article 1 as that is one of the few ways in this world (ooc game) we can get a dictatorship. We notice again it appears it is the left whinge that is running scared of democracy. |

Message | OOC: It was a remark concerning the book "1984" by George Orwell. It takes place in the nation Oceania, which is a Totalitarian State. You are watched even through the television, which you cannot turn off. Oceania tries to control what the people think, as do the other two states on Earth: Eurasia and Eastasia. Oceania controls the Americas, Australia, New Zealand, and Britain-Ireland. Eurasia controls the former USSR and mainland Europe, Eastasia controls...China, Japan, Korea, etc. The rest is fought over continuously by the three superstates. Because of the government's efforts to appear as if policy has never changed and that they've never risen, they always lie to their people by saying that different things. Such as, at the beginning, the chocolate rations are "raised" from 25 ounces to 20 ounces. Also, the two superstates, Oceania is always allied to one and at war with the other, and it often switches. Every time it switches sides, it changes all references in the news all the way back to the government taking power to say that they were always at war with the new enemy. I'm sorry if that was a long winded explanation, but as explained by the "wink" at the end of my post, it was a joke concerning this. |
