Message | Herr President, Whereas this proposal may at first glance appear sensible enough, I urge the Honourable Members to reconsider. The fact that this august Chamber is exempted from the normal enforcement of the laws in question means that all here have the ability to bring forward issues in a manner which is conductive to good government but otherwise may not be possible. For instance, will the Members here have the ability to freely debate defence policy, or will they be arrested on the suspicion of treason if any sensitive material is brought up? Equally, will those with the means to sustain prolonged legal cases be able to effectively silence Members posing uncomfortable questions and freely expressing themselves during debate by means of prolonged libel suits? These are important concerns, which must not be disregarded in the way the speedy submission to voting implies was the intent. Marit Tryggvesen Justice Spokesperson |

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with. |
