Description[?]:
I'm sorry, I just can't understand the new flag. Why couldn't we put back the old white-red-black tricolor? For those thinking (or should I say "misthinking") the tricolor represented the BSR, I can tell you this is false, and even counter-historical. Here is the flag of the Socialist Regime : http://i.imgur.com/GqIKFnz.png The tricolour is an ancient Beluz flag, predating the Socialist Republic, and used many times by DEMOCRATIC governments including the Federal Republic of Beluzia (the first one, before the revolution), and was restored in 3894, by the Stantons. In 3894, the Socialist Republic was only named this way because the Stantons didn't care about changing it. (the "real" Socialist Republic only lived through the 3880s) So, socialists NEVER used this flag. Or if you really want a republican flag, use this one : http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/images/u/ua_dn.gif (despite it having some Zogist connotations, it was used as Republican Flag 3852-3867). But I just don't understand this flag. Blue was never used as a Beluz national colour (I think black would be more appropriate), the ten stars don't really represent the five states of Beluzia, each of them having a separate identity; and the fleur-de-lys (which is a monarchist symbol) has nothing to do on a republican flag. Could you please answer this in debate? (I know the Stantons won't, as they never engaged in RP since the end of the aristocracy, but I hope the other parties will) --- Sincerely yours, Albatrosinus |

Message | You can see that a political revolution of sorts, though not overtly stated, has taken place. The NFP-BCR Coalition government has undone a unitarian system of governance regulation by regulation and we've been devolving powers back to the States or ending the regulation of industry all together. A new time naturally calls for a new flag. The Fleur-de-lis design seemed, if not really in check with Beluzian history, at least modern and apt for a new time of federalism and deregulation, and its modern usage is proof it is not a monarchist symbol, anymore. Also, the other flag wouldn't show on any browser I used and would only appear as an image icon and not the image itself. |

Message | For the problem with the image icon, it's because the Stantons tried to change the flag and failed. (You might have noticed I don't really like the Stantons, but I don't think a left-wing progressive libertarian party could like a right-wing conservative authoritarian party...) I understand you might want to keep the new flag (it is an interesting one), but if you ever change your mind, here is the old one : http://i41.tinypic.com/29xagsx.png By the way, if you wanted to do a political revolution, you should have changed some of the city names. Some are named after revolutionary leaders and Stantons didn't care about changing it... |

Message | Im not really aware of the history, so I don't pay much attention to it, in all honesty. Ill keep the link handy in case we do change it! |

Message | Frankly, I'm quite neutral on the subject. The current flag reflects the coalition's policy. |
