| This bill aims to bring about the restoration of the monarchy within Likatonia. The Monarch shall be known as the "Emperor of Likatonia" and he shall be our Ceremonial Head of State ---- BANDORRAS the Emperor shall be Crown-Prince Kardovan of the House of Bandorra, Grandson of the late King Kardovan I of Likatonia. The House of Bandorra shall have their former Imperial Palaces restored to them. ---- CULTURE RECOGNISING that Likatonia lacks something culturally, we feel it is the omission of a Constitutional Monarch that has caused this 'gap' in our culture. Having a Monarch will provide us with a culturally symbol that will unite Likatonians of all persuasions behind our one true monarch ---- POLITICAL NEUTRALITY The Emperor shall be above politics. The Emperor shall not be affiliated with any political party. The Emperor shall not interfere in party politics. The Emperor shall not have any power of veto over the Convocation. The Convocation, and the elected legislators within shall retain all power. The Emperor is purely a ceremonial Head of State. ----- RELIGION the monarch accepts in principle, the religion of state will be the Tears of Termani, however also acknowledges the secular nature of Likatonia. The monarch feels that a spiritual dimension in an individual is an important area one must make a decision about, and one that he is willing to embrace personally. However the monarch shall be known as the DEFENDER OF THE FAITHS (with that all-important s) ---- EMPEROR'S ROLE the Emperor shall be our Head of State. The Emperor will be the ceremonial representative of the people, both at home and abroad. The Emperor shall strive to build positive relations with the nations of Terra through good conduct. The Emperor shall act as an example to all. However, the Emperor will not be allowed to dictate any policy. The Emperor shall be the Ceremonial Head of the Armed Forces. However control of the Armed Forces remains firmly under the Ministry of Defence and the Government of Likatonia. ---- PRAETORIAN GUARD Five Regiments, of two battalions each shall form the Praetorian Guard, which shall Guard the Imperial Palaces. (Approx. 10,000 men) ---- If passed this bill will have the following impacts that are not defined in the Articles - Kardovan II Bandorra, Grandson of the Last King shall be restored as Emperor Kardovan II - The Republic of Likatonia shall be renamed the Likatonian Empire |
