Bill: Liquidation of Degenerate Material Bill of November 3926
Details
Submitted by[?]: Bailonese Council Communist Party (BCCP)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 3928
Description[?]:
In order to protect the pure image of men and women - working together in harmony as one, we must seek to eradicate all forms of pornographic material from our nation. This material serves nothing more than to pollute the minds of adults - who are often already degenerated before they finish puberty. Stand in solidarity with the EPB to bring this bill forward and to give federal authorities the permission to seize and destroy all pornography within our borders. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The government's policy with respect to the production of pornography.
Old value:: The production of pornography is treated as any other business.
Current: Pornography may not be produced in the nation.
Proposed: Local governments establish policies on the production of pornography.

Message | The pure image of men and women is their true image, which is however they feel they should be represented. To limit freedom of expression at this degree is a fundamental violation of the social contract and I doubt the EPB, a single-issue party, has the legitimacy to propose such a vast undercutting of public freedom and the entertainment industry. I urge the EPB to trust Beluzians to know what they want or do not want. The market will eliminate what there is no demand for. Let the market work, free of government intervention and moralist meddling. |

Message | Will the BCR support this bill if we remove article 1 and change article 2 so that it supports decentralization? |

Message | Understood, although a big compromise, still better than the default policy, at least local governments have the choice to do the right thing rather than being forced to do the wrong thing (which is allowing degenerate material in the first place). |

Random fact: Voters have an extra appreciation for bills that actually get passed, so if you want to maximally take profit from your votes, make sure you compromise with others. |
Random quote: "A return to first principles in a republic is sometimes caused by the simple virtues of one man. His good example has such an influence that the good men strive to imitate him, and the wicked are ashamed to lead a life so contrary to his example." - Niccolo Machiavelli |
