Bill: Car Freedom Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: United Nationalists

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 3928

Description[?]:

Mr Speaker

We at the UN HQ have discussed the topic of private vehicles and have come to a stance that even though pollution may increase, the standards we already have in place is enough to allow homes to own cars. The restrictive policies in place on environment friendly cars is hampering productivity and making it difficult to afford the expensive cars necessary to meet the laws.

MessageMr Speaker,

The Progressives stands firmly for Green Fuel only restrictions as it is the only way to effectively reduce carbon emissions while allowing citizens to drive and commute.

The regulations in place already are more than enough, not to mention our national forests and reserves guarantee the safety of our environment. Allowing normal vehicles will help many poor families increase their income and return money to the country.

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation.
