| Me and LA were talking again, and we were wondering what you guys would think of an upper house similar to the house of lords. Luthori seems like a prime candidate to have one due to the monarchy and so forth, so I any country was going to have one it's probably us. What we could do is retroactively add an upper house and say they've always been there, which will be pretty easy due to the fact they don't have elections. We'd need to think of a name for them to fit our country, probably Imperial Lords or Lords Diet. My party would naturally oppose and campaign for them to be changed into an elected chamber, but I think that itself would be some fun RP. Thoughts guys? |

| Message | Hmm, I can understand why you don't, I never used to like it much but it grew on me, it was the Holy part I've never liked, plus it's only had its name changed so recently. If we were to change it I'd personally go for Imperial Parliament and Imperial Peers or Imperial Lords for the upper chamber, but I don't think it needs a change TBH, maybe in a game century or so. |

| Message | Perhaps. If you're referring to the "Holy" in our name... well, I agree. That should go. As for "Imperial Lords", since "Imperial" is an adjective, it doesn't really make sense to call the legislative body that... Canada's upper body is the Senate, and it's like the British House of Lords. So whatever works. To be honest, I'm not in a rush, and we can initiate a change whenever other members would like to. |

| Message | Like the idea a lot. I like the LLD's suggestion of House of Peers, otherwise I think House of Lords sounds better. Traditionally, a diet was the general assembly of all the Estates, at least in the Holy Roman Empire. Having a separate name distinct from Diet for the Upper House would make sense in that context since the Upper House is not a general assembly but an assembly of only one "estate" of the realm. As for Diet, I actually kind of like it. Definitely goes with the theme and the "Holy Luthori Empire" name. As for the Holy in Holy Luthori Empire, it is slightly clunky but the nation's been called that since at least the 2300s so I'd rather not change it. It really is tradition at this point. |

| Message | Well with RPing it, it would basically really just be for the wiki. It'd basically consist of an article and a section of everyone's wiki about it. They'd basically be a purely advisory chamber with no voting power (and that's better to explain away why they've had no impact before). As for party seating, I reckon like the real Lords it wouldn't be in-keeping with the voters (for example the LDs have over 100 seats whilst UKIP has 3). I reckon the more traditional and established parties such as the LA would probably be more likely to house some peers, and also parties that have been in power more. So for example parties like the PCP and Luthori Vision would most likely not even have one lord, if so probably a maximum of say three. |
