Bill: Electoral Reform Act of 2171

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2172
Description[?]:
It's time we stopped giving an unfair, undemocratic advantage to smaller regions and embraced the people as the true deciders of the number of seats a party receives in Parliament. If you care about representation and respecting the will of the people as honest public servants, you will support this bill. |

Message | If you care about the representation of different people with different lifestyles in different climbes that may be lost due to weakened minority rights, then perhaps you stop making fallible barbed statements and think again. |

Message | In a Republic, the will of the majority is paramount, and we must take action to ensure the voice of that majority is heard, not disproportionately represent smaller regions. This bill will ensure that the people are fairly represented and that the political parties in power truly express the people's mandate. Why would any good elected official oppose this bill, unless, of course, they somehow believe that they would loose power... |
