Bill: NWL002-Paramilitary Act 3935

Details

Submitted by[?]: Grand Nationalist Fraction

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 3937

Description[?]:

The current law allows paramilitary organisations to exist. We are glad to see that. Nevertheless we are worried that no regulations exist concerning these groups. We would like these group to be regulated by the Republic.
We suggest that paramilitary groups are allowed to exist, but are not allowed to carry lethal weapons. These groups can be used to secure political rallies, large events and to protect civilians and critical positions. Violence should be avoided by all means. Self-protection obviously is allowed.

Gaston Lefebvre
NWL chairman

MessageMr. Speaker,

We support our brothers of the National Workers League. Gaston speaks much sense here. Paramilitary groups must be regulated or issues may arise in the future.

MessageMr Speaker,

We do not support this legislation. By heavily regulating paramilitaries, this opens up the possibility of setting the regulatory bar too high effectively banning them.

Governor of Golavia
