Bill: Edison Tax Act of May 3938

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Brotherhood for Prosperity

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 3939

Description[?]:

Mr Speaker,

This tax plan establishes a graduated income tax, while also keeping rates relatively low. This is truly a compromise between left and right, and will close the deficit.

The NBP will support whatever tax plan has the most support.

MessageMr. Speaker,

I owe this to the house to explain our vote. We believe in a capitalistic economy run by the free market. We also believe that everyone has rights, in one of them you're entitled to the fruits of your labour - you can spend what you earn-. We like to abolish income tax, not expand it. However we believe a compromise is good for the prosperity of this country, we do believe this violates a right of the individual and are therefore against it.
