Bill: NWL004-Organ Donation Act 3939

Details

Submitted by[?]: Grand Nationalist Fraction

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 3940

Description[?]:

As candidate for the office of Health and Social Services I have been looking at our healthcare system the last few years. I have come to the conclusion that there is room for improvement.
The most important change I would like to see accomplished is a change in organ donation.
At this moment, one's organs can only be used with personal consent, which in some cases takes too much time to check. And in the field of organ donations, time is crucial. Whether or not an organ can be useful is a matter of hours, time we cannot afford to waste.
I would like to suggest a change so that all citizens are potential donors. One can still refuse to donate organs by filling in a form at the local council. A database on national level will be set up for consultation.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Due to the self liberalism we believe as a party. We cannot find enough support to back this act. We wish the incoming minister of health the best in his/her up coming portfolio.

MessageMr. Speaker,

I am a Nationalist and I act as one. The nation and its citizens are the most important issue to me. No matter what politics they prefer, no matter what colour they have or what they believe in. I believe in the nation. I have filled in a form to donate my organs whenever something happens to me. Eventhough, I believe every citizen should know it's his or her duty to donate the organs to another compatriot in need whenever that particular citizen isn't likely to need them anymore.
I regret this bill not passing.

everyone has the right not to donate organs, simply by filling in a form. As easy as that.
