Bill: Access to Heating Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Libertarian-Socialist Coalition
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2172
Description[?]:
With winter coming up, the LSP is concerned that certain segments of the population, including the elderly and the poor, will be unable to afford their heating bills. These groups can be subject to severe health risks without adequate warmth, making them more susceptible to disease. We thus propose to subsidize energy costs to those who need it the most. It will basically pay for itself through the savings to our health care system in general. |
