Bill: Supporting new top athletes (2nd try)
Details
Submitted by[?]: Hobrazian Peoples Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2173
Description[?]:
It is to be questioned why there is no subsidise program for elite sport personalities. How can Hobrazia be in front in any sport, when there is no support from the government behind the athletes. We suggest to incooperate a program controlled by the minister of education and culture to provide subsidising to chosen sports and chosen sport personalities, either through their clubs or directly to the athletes. This program should include talent work in the Hobrazian sport clubs. The current legislation does not open for this possibility. |
Proposals

Old value:: The government does not fund sports clubs; only private ones are allowed.
Current: The government does not fund sports clubs; only private ones are allowed.

Message | Running special publically owned clubs for elite athletes is pointless as to reach the top level they will almost certainly already be a club member. If this is not the case then it would be far cheaper to simply subsidise their training expenses rather than completely owning clubs. |
