Bill: Labour Rights Act
Details
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 3946
Description[?]:
As the Labour Unions are voluntary to join, it will be illogical to have them negotiate key labour rights and hold employment hostage by union shops. Thus, a better authority should be in place instead, leading to the drafting of this act. |
Proposals

Message | Mr Speaker, Unions allow for workers to democratically make decisions in their industries based on the needs and wants of the workers. Just because membership is voluntary does not mean they shouldn't have a say in the workings of their industry, if anyone wants to have their say about it they can join the union. With union shops the workers who work there understand the rules of working there, and the government should not try to limit it. We hope the progressives reconsider their proposal. Our party was created to support and strengthen the workers and we cannot agree to these proposals. President Sophie Malto, Chairman of the Workers Front |
